Premiere 17 Sep. 2009, Litteraturhuset, Oslo .

The death tape or Q042, is the final tape recorded by Jim Jones before the mass suicide of the residents of Jonestown in Guyana, 1978. This recording includes Jones urging the members of the Jonestown community to come forward to receive the poison - first for their children, then for themselves - as Jones describes the horrors of what would await those who did not commit what he described as "revolutionary suicide". She needs the "Knight in Shining Armor" to rescue her from terrible situation."Damsel" manipulates the "Knight" with her inability to live life from her own resources. Her message to him is that without the "Knight" she cannot live.

The "Knight" is powerless without the "Damsel", as he has no access to his inner source of strength. Thus the "Knight" gains his power through his ability to be whatever the distressed "Damsel" needs.

As the "Damsel" begins to receive what she needs, she becomes stronger and more alive. The "Knight" is then threatened by the "Damsel's" developing strength becomes the "Villain" through shaming her, diminishing her, blaming her for his sorrow and telling her how sick she is. He keeps her belief that she cannot live without him.
TV-Love http://www.krunglevicius.com/index.php?entry=4 Video investigates the processes of power-game and manipulation strategies. With backing from "bare-bone-naked-techno-beats" TV talks to us with simple text on the screen, thus trying to gain control over the viewer. Throughout the composition it becomes our friend, master and love. TV-Duet http://www.krunglevicius.com/index.php?entry=5 Video and music performance are totally synchronised. Each note in a music-score corresponds to one picture on TV screen. Throughout the composition TV becomes increasingly personal, demanding and controlling entity. Listen is not an imperative but rather an enthusiastic call and encouragement to develop and maintain an individual perspective on the environment in all its myriad guises.

Listen consists of several site-specific audio installations. On the first floor of the CAC visitors will discover a number of audio "OBSTRUCTIONS" where the physiological impact of the sound is as important as its ideological connotations. The sounds (specifically recorded and broadcast for their location) can be used by the listener to physically re-orient themselves in the space and test their senses against the new contextual and environmental situation.

Another part of the audio project Listen is an audio version of Bloga Knyga - a book by a young Lithuanian philosopher (read by Airida Gintautaite). This year, 2008, is officially a "year of the book" in Lithuania. A soviet era style park bench has been installed as an audio-lounge, on which to sit and listen to the talking book, next to the entrance of the CAC.

MP3 players are discretely attached to a litter bin, a park bench, an electrical substation, or set in the middle of a lawn. Viewers access the work by plugging their own headphones directly into these pieces of "urban furniture".

The rubbish bin inspired an ironic Euro-techno song that describes a man who can procure you a "girlfriend" - if that's what you want. At the substation one can hear a mixture of interviews with residents of Skien who offer a local perspective on the place.

The sound located in the middle of the lawn transports the listener into a subterranean world, as if the surface of the earth were an enormous membrane vibrating from the footsteps of passers-by. The sound one hears at the bench describes a rather scary incident, to which one becomes a witness. You might even want to get involved, but you can't. No one can.

Ignalina mon amour http://www.krunglevicius.com/index.php?entry=13 Visaginas, a city of 30 000 inhabitants in the Ignalina region in Lithuania, was 30 years in 2005. Historically, politically and socially, Visaginas is extraordinary. It`s fate was, is and will be tightly connected to the life of Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant. This is a portrait of a city and a story about architects and citizens. Is that all there is? http://www.krunglevicius.com/index.php?entry=14 On December 31 2004, "Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant" (Visaginas, Lithuania) closed the first of its two units. On December 10 2004, the workers celebrated the 25th anniversary of a reactor turbine at INPP. "Is that all there is?" is an 8 minute excerpt from the party. PARUS film festival http://www.krunglevicius.com/index.php?entry=15 This is a cooperation project between Norwegian and Lithuanian artists and others that started in 2001 by the planning of the Parus film festival in the city of Sovietsk, Kaliningrad, Russia. The movie theatre "Parus" has everything required to screen movies, except the movies themselves. The summer of 2002 the group of artists arranged a small Norwegian-Lithuanian film festival.

Formerly a culturally and economically significant region and a transmitter between East and West, Kaliningrad suffers a state of stagnation nowadays. Situated among the EU countries, the region is deprived of its "givens" - the social, political and econimical progress. The organisers of the festival wanted to interrupt stagnation, but they were also questioning if cultural engagement was the correct means for this and if an alien initiative could be accepted.

The medium of film turned out to be a possible way of crossing cultures and linking them. Both the public and the organisers of the festival were Lithuanians, Norwegians and Russians. Norwegians were confronted with a foreign past, whereas the Lithuanians were confronted with a past closely linked to their own; the Russians experienced a present without any promise to last.
